How do I dispose of this?

How do I dispose of this?

It can be confusing sometimes knowing what can be recycled and what can’t.

I’m loving that a lot of products now let you know how to dispose of them.

Have you heard of the Australasian Recycling Label? (ARL)

It’s a program developed to give people in Australia and New Zealand clear information about what packaging goes where – the recycling bin, rubbish bin, or back to the store, sadly the ‘back to the store’ program REDCycle is paused at the moment.

Many of us are putting the wrong packaging in the wrong bin, resulting in a loss of recyclable materials and contamination in the recycling bin.

On the photo of the baking paper packaging you will see it says -

Carton ♻️

Wrap 🗑

Tube ♻️

Baking paper (wrap) can’t be recycled as it has a thin lining like takeaway coffee cups which makes it difficult to recycle.

Let’s get the word out and share this information so everyone knows to look for the ARL👏

And if you want to get yourself some Reusable Baking Mats we have them at Slow Days, they fit perfectly in most baking trays, reuse them over and over again! Simply clean them in the dishwasher or in the sink.
