Did you know each year we waste around 7.6 million tonnes of food across the supply and consumption chain – this wastage equals about 312kg per person, equivalent to around one in five bags of groceries or $2,000 to $2,500 per household per year.
Food waste accounts for approximately 3% of Australia’s annual greenhouse gas emissions.

TO HELP REDUCE FOOD WASTE -
I only shop for what we need that week, I do a shopping list, checking what we already have at home so I’m not doubling up, especially on fresh ingredients.
I food prep each week so in the fridge there are ingredients, meals and snacks that are ready to eat.
And I use 2 amazing products -
THE SWAG BAG - its scientifically proven to keep fruit and veggies fresh for over 2 weeks 🥬 I’ve posted about The Swag Bag a few times.
SUBPOD - I love how simple the Subpod system is and I’m amazed every time I add more food waste that the worms have turned the previous food waste into rich compost 🪱
Bye bye food waste 👋
How do you reduce your food waste?
