Placing recycling bins in areas like the kitchen, bathroom and laundry can make collecting recyclables at home easier 🗑️
It encourages everyone in the household to recycle more. If we just had one bin we would put everything in it, when it was time to empty it and if we are time poor then we would end up throwing it all in the landfill bin!
You don’t need to go out and buy bins, you can use cardboard boxes or similar. I don’t have bins I dispose of it straightaway or I create a pile that then reminds me to take them to the main recycling bin in our kitchen.
Side Note - I read once about the “Handle Things Once” rule, which means you take care of something right away instead of saving it and going back to it time and time again. I use this for a lot of things, not always but I do love the concept 👏 I did a post on my Instagram about this on my Instagram Page.
